The college is coming under the School of Nursing and Biomedical Sciences for Women of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri (J&K) and is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi since its beginning. The department is currently offering Basic B.Sc Nursing degree course of four years. We have an annual intake of 40 students who are selected purely on the merit obtained in the common entrance examination conducted by BGSB University, Rajouri.

Common Entrance Test FOR Admission TO B.Sc. Nursing/ Post-Basic B. Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. Para-medical Courses in various government and private para-medical/ nursing colleges of the union territory j&k / ladakh:-

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (J&K BOPEE) is conducting the Entrance Tests for various Professional Courses including the Common Entrance Test (CET) for B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Para-medical Courses in Govt./Pvt. Institutes in J&K/Ladakh. The Board is conducting Common Entrance Test (CET) for this degree conducted at various centers in Jammu and Srinagar.

Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing Programme: 

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Programme must fulfil the following eligibility conditions;

 A candidate must: 

• be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have a domicile certificate at the time of filling up the application form, he/she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling). For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate;
• be at least 17 years old on 31st December
• have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination individually in the subjects Physics,Chemistry, Biology and English Core/English Elective and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB subjects from Recognised Board Under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board or students appearing in 10+2 examination in science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks;
• be medically fit.
• The candidates appearing/appeared in 10+2 (12th Class) examination 2021 can also apply, provided such candidates have qualified the examination at the time of declaration of the result of the Entrance Test /at the date of counselling as may be notified by the Board. Their Entrance Test result shall remain withheld unless they produce the necessary certificate of qualifying the 10+2 (12th Class) examination.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses:

A candidate must:

• be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be(if the candidate(s) applying for this course do not have domicile certificate at the time of filling up application form, he/she is advised to upload an undertaking certifying that he/she shall produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling). For Candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate;
• have passed 10+2 or equivalent from recognized Board and have obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM ) and registered as R.N.R.M. with J&K Paramedical Nursing Council. A male Nurse, trained before the implementation of new integrated course besides being registered as a Nurse with J&K Paramedical Nursing Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the areas such as O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, T.B. Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, Orthopaedic Nursing
• be medically fit

RESERVATION POLICY:

The following reservation Policy shall be implemented as per S.O-127 dated 20-04-2020 of seats in the Government Nursing / Para-medical Colleges/ Institutes:

Further, as per Rule 14 of SRO 294 of J&K Reservation Rule dated 21-10-2005, the following the reservation is also made in favour of following:-

• APPLICATION FORM:
• The Application Forms have to be submitted online only through the BOPEE   websites www.jkbopee.gov.in/www.jakbopee.org(through URL’s/ links provided for this purpose) within the prescribed date to be notified separately.
• The payment of Rs. 1000/(Rupees one thousandonly) onlyas fee is to be made online through “Integrated Payment Gateway” with the help of any National Credit Card/Debit Card/facility

Certificates to be Produced/Uploaded:

• The candidates have to upload the following original scanned documents with their online Application Form:-
  • domicile of J&K/Ladakh as the case may be (domicile certificate, if not issued, at the time of filling up of online Application Form), the candidate can upload undertaking certifying that he/she shall submit/produce the same at the time of counselling). For candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, an ST certificate issued by a competent authority shall be treated as a domicile certificate.
  • marks certificate of the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 (as mentioned above)issued by the concerned board;
  • matriculation or equivalent examination certificate indicating Date of Birth;
  • the category candidates claiming benefit of any reserved category
  • Diploma registered with J&K Para-medical Council ( For candidates applying under lateral entry category or wherever applicable)

Nature of QuestionPaper:

• B.Sc.Nursing/B.Sc. Para-medical CET Examination shall consist of a Single Paper with three sections comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 180 questions (60 questions from each section) with a time duration of 03.00 hours. The questions shall be multiple choice objective types with one mark each. There will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer;

Declaration of result:

The result will be published in two local dailies and will be uploaded on the website of the Board www.jkbopee.gov.in/www.jakbopee.org. The process of selection will be notified separately.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Subject to the qualifying Benchmarks as may be fixed by the Board, the allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of merit cum preference and reservation rules, as applicable for the course, through a process of counselling detailed as under:

The Board may if it decides to do so conduct 3rdround of online counselling/physical round of counselling in the same manner as prescribed for 2nd round of counselling provided that:-

Unless permitted by the Board as a general exception, the candidates who did not join the college on allotment of a seat after the first round of counselling or on up-gradation of seat/allotment of seat during the second round shall not be eligible to participate in the third round of counselling. Those candidates, who were upgraded during the 2nd round and joined the institute, shall also not be eligible to participate in the third round of counselling.

Final Round By Personal Counselling (Mopping Up Round):-

If otherwise required, the Competent Authority will issue Notification of the final round by Personal Counselling on its website www.jkbopee.gov.in / www.jakbopee.org and indicating the schedule of the selection process for the final round for allotment of seats remaining vacant after completion of earlier round(s) of allotment of seats by way of Preference Forms. This final round of allotment of seats shall be conducted by way of personal counselling instead of allotment on the basis of Preference Forms to ensure that all the vacant seats are filled up before  and there will be instant seat allocation

Original Documents required to be submitted in the Institution at the time of Admission:- 

a) Marks certificate of the qualifying examinations (12thclass marks certificate); 

b) Date of birth (Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate) from a recognized Board; 

c) Domicile Certificate for candidates belonging to UT of J&K and ST certificate as a Domicile for candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh;

 d) Category Certificate, if any; 

e) Any other document as may be required by the Institution. 

Note:- 

I. The candidates having more than one reserved category certificate can get benefit of only one category indicated and uploaded along with the Application Form, which in no case shall be changed afterwards. The candidate, whose category certificate has not been found valid, will be considered in open merit if otherwise found eligible without any further notice.

Admission Notification for M.Sc. Nursing:-

Offline Application forms are invited from the candidates belonging to UT's of J&K/Ladakh who are eligible and desirous for admission to M.Sc. Nursing Course 2020. The selection of the candidates shall be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002, SRO 505 of 2019 dated 20-08-2019 read with SRO 640 of 2019 dated 24- 10-2019 and the Rules and Regulations there under, JK Reservation Act, 2004 as amended vide J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, 5.0 127 dated 20-04-2020, and subject to further amendments, if any, by the Competent Authority/Govt., issued from time to time.

 Eligibility:

 I). Eligibility for M.Sc Nursing with tentative intake capacity : Candidate applying for M.Sc. Nursing course shall be eligible, if he/she: 

a) is a Domicile of UT of J&K /Ladakh, 

b) has passed, B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks, 

c) should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council, 

d) has a minimum of one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing, 

e) has a minimum of one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
